Joanne Dunnigan

Joanne Dunnigan, LCSW, RPT-S is a psychotherapist specializing in children and families. Her career began with earning a BSW from Kean College and a MSW from Rutgers University. She held several leadership positions at Catholic Charities and Hackensack Meridian Health System. Ms. Dunnigan established About Kids in 2000. Achievements include co-founding the Therapeutic Nursery Program at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, presenting at local and national conferences on child related topics, appearing on CBS News Now 48 Hours regarding her work with 911 families and appearing on Caucus NJ with Steve Abudato as an expert on adolescent depression. Ms. Dunnigan has a certificate in Structural Family Therapy from the Minuchin Institute. She is an adjunct professor at Monmouth University teaching in the play therapy certificate program. She is a past president and active board member of the NJ Association of Play Therapy.
